Money Saving Cleaning Tips

If you are like me, you hate to clean house, but we have to do it…But we don’t have to do it the hard way…So you have to wash your kitchen floor…try this…add a couple drops of white vinegar to your bucket of water.  It will cut grease.  And if your flooring is linoleum or vinyl, you can add a little baby oil to your water and it will give your flooring a nice gleam.  But make sure you only add 1 or 2 capfuls…more than that and you will be sliding all over the place.

Do you have a stainless steel sink?  If it has some rust spots, try this…Rub a drop of lighter fluid over the rust spot.  Then sprinkle with a little baking soda over the area.  Using a wed rag or sponge clean the area.

Rubbing alcohol will get rid of water spots in your stainless steel sink.  Just wipe the alcohol on with a rag.

Rubbing alcohol can also be used to sterilize your sink.  When you are done finishing the dishes or when you are cleaning up you kitchen, put rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle and spray onto your sink.  Wipe down with a clean rag.

All-purpose cleaners are expensive, so why not make your own for little of nothing.  Mix 1 cup rubbing alcohol, 1 cup water and 1 Tablespoon white vinegar in a spray bottle.  Spritz and wipe clean…

Clean you coffee maker with baking soda and water.  Mix 1 quart of water with 1/4 cup baking soda and run this mixture through your coffee maker.
