RAK – Random Acts of Kindness Week

A couple of my friends have told me about this great week, so I wanted to pass it along to you.  I also wanted to share with you some ideas on how you can do enjoy your RAK week…So what is Random Acts of Kindness Week?   This week is all about doing special, random acts of kindness for others.  Simple things like holding the door for someone or paying for the coffee of the person behind you in line.  Simple things that will make others feel good and hopefully they will then pay it forward by doing something for someone else.

So what kinds of things can you do?

  • When you are grocery shopping and using your coupons to save money, why not look for things that you can get cheap or even free (even if it isn’t the brand you like) and donate it to a food pantry in your area.  Or do up a basket and give it to a neighbor that you think could use it.
  • Go through your closets and find things you don’t wear anymore and donate them to a women’s shelter for women who have left their homes in haste and have nothing but the clothes on their backs.
  • Purchase some tissues and/or hand sanitizer to donate to schools.

These are just a few simple things you can do to help others.  And who knows, you might enjoy doing these things so much that you won’t stop when this week is over.  Actually, I want to challenge you all to NOT stop when this week is over.  Pay it Forward every day of your life and live a happier life.
